The bottom has fallen out in Green Bay, and it’s time for Ed Policy and the Packers to have a very difficult conversation.

Thursday night, the woebegone Atlanta Falcons ran onto the field at Lambeau searching for any sort of identity, and by the time the final horn sounded, they had dog-walked Matt LaFleur’s Packers out of their own building, with chants of “A-T-L” echoing throughout the hallowed grounds, flying home with a 35-14 victory that was somehow less competitive than the final score indicated.

Things are so dire for the Packers right now, on both sides of the ball, that Bijan Robinson and Drake London combined for 407 yards from scrimmage, while Green Bay produced just 328 yards of total offense.

That’s somehow barely scratching the surface, though.

If LaFleur was feeling any sort of heat after a dreadful first two games of the season, he should be sitting on a broiling hot seat and perhaps now tasked with coaching for his job the rest of this season.

“He should absolutely be on the hot seat right now,” an AFC Scouting Director tells Between The Hashmarks, of LaFleur. “That was as ugly as it gets.

“Also, and maybe worse, the draft choices they have been making the past couple of years haven’t been very good.”
