Across the country, OTAs are now in full swing.
Aaron Rodgers is back in Pittsburgh … again.
And, rookies are getting their first taste of life in the NFL, on the field with the vast majority of their teammates as all 32 teams ramp up another step closer to the 2026 season kicking off.
Inside this week’s mailbag, we tackle some of the concerns, and the upside, of Makai Lemon walking into a prime role in a revamped Eagles offense, one league executive gets candid on the situation Malik Willis finds himself in in Miami, and Myles Garrett’s [hypothetical] trade value is revealed.
Editor’s Note: This week, here at Between The Hashmarks headquarters, we have a busy weekend ahead, with some family celebrations, and will be attempting to recharge the batteries a bit. So, we’re benching Monday’s 4 Downs column this week. It makes its triumphant return on June 8!
Let’s get after it …
What’s Myles Garrett’s trade value? Is it three first rounders? I have heard some rumors of a post-June 1 trade, or maybe a trade deadline deal if the Browns’ season goes south, but if it doesn’t land the Browns a long-term solution at quarterback, it’s not worth it for me, for such a generational talent. For as much as general manager Andrew Berry at the Browns publicly insist Myles Garrett isn’t available, Cleveland sure is posturing as an organization as if they’re at least open to trading away the face of the franchise.
Garrett is arguably the premier pass rusher in the sport, and the NFL’s most disruptive defensive weapon.
On his way to winning Defensive Player of the Year twice in the past three seasons, Garrett has amassed 125.5 sacks in 134 games.
Route 43 in Ohio is littered with at least 52 quarterbacks Garrett has sacked in a career that he’s already primed to walk from Cleveland to Canton.
However, when the Browns restructured his contract earlier this spring, moving the date his option bonus is paid from the 15th day of the league year to seven days before the regular season kicks off ahead of each of the 2026, 2027, and 2028 campaigns, Cleveland appears to be effectively creating multiple windows to at least have the option of trading him.
As for Garrett’s hypothetical value in a trade, we’ve seen the Packers ship the Dallas Cowboys two first-round picks for Micah Parsons, and the Ravens agree to send the Raiders two first-round picks for Maxx Crosby before finding a doctor who would sign on off on the All-Pro’s meniscus being thinner than angel hair pasta, freeing Baltimore up to sign Trey Hendrickson and renege on their trade.
“More,” a rival AFC Executive told Between The Hashmarks, back in March shortly after the Browns reworked Garrett’s deal. “If I were Andrew [Berry], I’m asking for two first rounds plus. Heck, I might even start the conversations at three first rounders.”
So, that is why the Browns tried to propose a rule that would allow teams to trade draft picks five years out into the future.
The gut feeling here, is that the Browns don’t want to trade Garrett, but will always be listening for the right offer that convinces them (what is probably accurately) the right thing to do for the sake of their rebuild.
Imagine the Jets, who own three first-round picks next spring, alone, or the Bears, who are projected to have a league-high $267.1 million in cap space in 2028 deciding that it is time to go and snatch Les Snead’s ‘In my F*** Them Picks Era’ t-shirt to pry Garrett away for a presumptive title chase.
Anything is possible, the Browns have made it so, but as of now the timing just doesn’t quite feel right for a trade to go down.
Men, You've Been Misinformed
Men's skin is about 25% thicker than women's, but thicker skin doesn't mean better aging. It means delayed collapse. For years, your skin looks resilient. Then collagen declines, and when it does, it drops hard: deeper wrinkles, heavier under-eye bags, more dark spots showing up all at once.
Most men were never taught to get ahead of this. Women were. And by the time the signs show up, you're playing catch-up.
Particle Face Cream was built precisely for this. One 6-in-1 formula engineered for men's skin — reduces eye bags, dark spots, and wrinkles, restores firmness, hydrates deeply, and revives dull tone. No complicated routine. Over 1,000,000 men already use it. Try it risk-free with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Is Makai Lemon the real deal, or just another guy with a limited physique, whose skills won’t translate well to the next level? ( [email protected] )
